The Attention Exchange is a cultural experiment operated in public interest. Using it means accepting the following.
Attention (ATN) is a fictional unit. It has no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, redeemed or transferred for anything of value, and is not an investment, security, or cryptocurrency. Market prices on the exchange are artifacts of collective play, not financial instruments.
One account per citizen. You are responsible for what you file under your name and handle. Do not impersonate others, and do not disrupt the exchange — automated abuse, scraping of other citizens' data, or attacks on the service may result in your record being struck from the register.
Asset imagery on the exchange consists of archival specimens used editorially to document internet and design culture, with sources credited. If you hold rights to a specimen and object to its use, contact the operator and it will be reviewed.
The exchange is provided as is, without warranty. The Commission may amend the market mechanics, suspend accounts that violate these terms, reset markets, or retire the exchange entirely. Balances and holdings may change or disappear; they were never money (see above).
